Dr. Alessandra Haskin
Dr. Alessandra Haskin is a board-certified dermatologist who is known for her patient-centered approach to medical, cosmetic, and procedural dermatology. She treats adult and adolescent patients and combines her clinical expertise with a deep understanding of how cultural and lifestyle factors influence overall health.
She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech Language Pathology & Anatomy from the University of Maryland-College Park and her medical degree from Howard University College of Medicine, with Honors. Dr. Haskin also completed a clinical research fellowship at Johns Hopkins University, where she studied hair loss and skin conditions with a high prevalence in patients with skin of color. She completed her internship at Mount Sinai-Beth Israel Hospital and her dermatology residency at SUNY Downstate Medical Center.
Dr. Haskin’s holistic, personalized approach to care is built on the foundation of understanding her patients’ unique needs and perspectives. She works closely with patients to create an individualized, evidence-based treatment plan to optimize outcomes that align with each patient’s aesthetic goals. Whether improving chronic skin conditions, hair loss, or cosmetic rejuvenation, Dr. Haskin finds deep fulfillment in watching her patients transform—and in building lasting, trust-based relationships.
Beyond her clinical work, Dr. Haskin is a published author, contributing numerous articles and book chapters to advance her field. Her expertise has earned her numerous accolades, including recognition as a Super Doctors Rising Star® and Castle Connolly Top Doctor®.
Dr. Haskin is a Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology and a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. She is an active member of several professional societies including the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery and the Skin of Color Society.
